Version 7.7 - Released February 14, 2017
New Premium Feature: Big Box will now remember the last view used for each platform; can be enabled under Big Box Views options
New Feature: A new "Combine ROMs with matching titles into a single game" option is available on imports that will allow you to select from multiple ROMs for each game

New Feature: A new auditing tool has been added that will help you manage your games and media. To use it, select a platform in the sidebar (sidebar must be filtered to platforms), and then go to Tools > Audit.
New Feature: Startup videos are now supported for Big Box! Simply put your video file in the LaunchBox\Videos folder and name it Startup.mp4 and it will play on startup instead of the splash screen. There's also a "Minimum Startup Video Duration" setting in the Big Box General options that will force showing more of the video if Big Box loads too quickly.
Improvement: Big Box now remembers the last game for every platform and the last platform that was used

New Feature: Steam trailer video downloads are now available for Steam games; these downloads are available in the Import Games from Steam wizard and the Download Metadata and Images wizard. Note that you may need a codec in order to play these videos with Windows Media Player, and VLC currently has an issue where a green line may show up at the bottom of the videos. These videos are .webm videos, which is the reason for the trouble.
Improvement: Big Box custom themes now support platform images that will override the user's existing platform images while the theme is in use; see the changes to the Default theme project and folder for details
Improvement: Importing multi-disc ROMs that are named correctly with (Disc 1) or (Disk 2) will now stop importing duplicates and create the extra discs as additional applications instead

New Feature: The latest metadata is automatically downloaded from the LaunchBox Games Database on imports, so local metadata will no longer be out of date from the LaunchBox Games Database. You're also prompted when searching for games whether or not you'd like to update if an update is available.
New Premium Feature: Big Box now contains a few new views for the games lists: CoverFlow, CoverFlow with Details, and a Vertical Clear Logo Wheel. You can change from the default view by going to Options > Games List > Games List View.
New Premium Feature: The Big Box CoverFlow image quality and reflection opacity can be changed under Options > General.

Improvement: Game title sorting in LaunchBox and Big Box will now ignore "The", "A", and "And" by default. If you override this with the Sort Title field, this functionality is ignored.
Version 5.10 - Released April 26, 2016
Improvement: MAME metadata and import functionality has been greatly improved which should help to reduce gaps from the get-go. Also included a link to Antropus's Lightspeed MAME importer for users who need even more options.
Improvement: Spanish, French, and Brazilian Portuguese translations have been updated thanks to CliveBarker, Wattoo, and AFaustini on the forums (including release notes in the Welcome dialog)
Improvement: Startup time has been reduced a bit by separating out the MAME metdata to a separate file
Improvement: VLC videos in LaunchBox and Big Box now loop and resume from pausing properly instead of starting over
Improvement: The controller AutoHotkey solution has been replaced with custom functionality instead of using AutoHotkey; it is now called controller automation. Due to the numerous issues with AutoHotkey and controllers on Windows 10 (probably due to Microsoft driver bugs), this was a necessary fix. You may need to reset your Controller Automation (previously AutoHotkey) settings in both LaunchBox and Big Box.
